In 2016, a group of us from The Urban Ministry Institute travelled to Thailand for a gathering of world leaders to focus on training pastors. It was a fruitful time, primarily because Harold Roesler (who is now the Completion Global Board Chair) talked to several people about translating our Fight the Good Fight of Faith (FGFF) discipleship curriculum into their native language. One of those people was Sudipta Nanda from India.
In the last years, he has launched classes of FGFF in five different languages: English, Hindi, Bengali, Odia, and Nepalese (with Punjabi and Gurati coming soon). Including Sudipta’s work, FGFF has been translated into 28 languages.
In October, I received a Whatsapp message from Sudipta, asking if he could be of any help to our ministry. I smiled at God’s timing.
I had just finished the 2nd Edition of Think Again in English and was well into a Spanish translation. But we had received enough donations to pay for an additional language, and I had been praying about what that language should be. Sudipta’s message was an answer to prayer.
When I asked him if it would be helpful to have a study for people who finished FGFF, he said it was good news that there is a follow up book for FGFF. Every year over 100 people are completing FGFF and producing fruit for the Kingdom. And when I asked him which translation he wanted among the many languages he is teaching, he recommended Bengali (the language of Bangladesh).
Just this month, Sudipta finished the Bengali translation and we’re taking it through the process of loading it on Amazon for purchase. We will also place a free pdf (downloadable) version on our Completion Global website in case people cannot afford to purchase a printed version. Also, at Sudipta’s request, we have produced a 10-week Study Guide, posted on our website, which he will also translate.
We are overjoyed to see that Think Again is available in Spanish (as of February) and now in Bengali as well. And the English version is also being distributed in prisons across America, thanks to a tablet app called “Pando” that is free for the incarcerated.
Please pray this month that Think Again would get into the hands of people who are eager to grow in their Kingdom service.
