Our hearts are full because of good reports this month. Our friend Al Ewert recently visited Uganda, Tanzania, and Kenya, encouraging hundreds of pastors and offering Bible training through Fight the Good Fight of Faith, which I co-authored with Dr. Don Davis. God is doing a great work there.
The Correctional Ministries and Chaplains Association (CMCA), where I am a member of the advisory board, is having its first ever Summit in Africa. They will be The Onesimus Workshop, the material we wrote on helping former prisoners re-enter society.
This month we worked on wrapping up administrative and governmental reporting requirements for Completion Global. We will post our 990 on our website when our accountant is done. Putting this together helped us reflect on all God has done in these six months of new ministry.
We published The Onesimus Workshop for prisoner re-entry, including training/orientation sessions in Los Angeles, Grand Rapids, and Detroit.
We had initial partnership discussions with John Perkins, founder of Christian Community Development Association.
We developed a pilot project in Houston, connecting various ministries toward reaching Houston’s diaspora.
We made connection with Missio Nexus and several key leaders in the arena of world mission including Carol Davis, David Garrison, and Mike Latsko.
Cathy continued building on past relationships building with Prison Fellowship leaders at local and regional levels in California, Colorado, Michigan, Texas, and Kansas.
In all, we consulted with 15 ministries in six states.
We praise God for all He has helped us accomplish—on top of moving to a new home and a new state. We wag our heads and say, “thank you Lord!”
